Main Responsibilities:
* Promote and Sell: Engage with customers to promote and sell GWR products onboard, ensuring they have the journey they deserve.
* Maintain High Standards: Uphold the highest standards in all aspects of your work.
* Be an ambassador: Represent Great Western Railway by embodying our Values and delivering excellent customer service.
* Provide Exceptional Service: Deliver the best possible at-seat service to our customers.
* Prioritise Safety: Always adhere to safety principles, ensuring the safest journey for our customers.
* Ensure Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, hygienic, and pleasant environment for our customers.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Sales or Customer Service Background: Experience in sales or customer service is essential.
* Passionate About Customer Service: Enthusiastic about providing outstanding customer service.
* Flexible Schedule: Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
* Sales-Driven: Motivated to achieve high sales levels.
* Proactive Attitude: Possess a ‘can do' attitude and proactive approach.
* Comfortable with Regulations: Able to work effectively in a regulated environment.
Requirements:
* Payment Handling Experience: Proficient in cash handling and card payments.
* Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities.
* Team and Independent Worker: Ability to work well both as part of a team and independently.
* Food Safety Knowledge: Previous experience with food safety is desirable.
* Stock Control Experience: Experience in stock control and ordering is desirable.
* Location: You live within an hour of the advertised location.

What Is the Reward?

Your uniform is provided. The basic starting salary is £27,843, rising to £33,331 after probation.
