This post is primarily based at Ealing Hospital and will involve working across a variety of specialties such as respiratory including ITU, medical and surgical wards, orthopaedics, neurology, DMOP and musculoskeletal outpatients services; with a potential for further opportunity to rotate across Northwick Park and Central Middlesex Hospitals. The Therapy Department holds a high profile within the Trust and you will be encouraged to develop your clinical, teaching and managerial skills according to the area of work setting and CPD guidelines. Support and supervision will be provided by experienced therapists. Our multidisciplinary therapies department is committed to development and offers a large range of in-service and external training to suit individual's needs. There are new and exciting projects continually being undertaken which you will be given the opportunity to partake in. Main duties of the job To provide a quality physiotherapy service to LNWH patients across our three sites. To develop knowledge and skills in the management of patients at LNWH - including Medicine for the Older person, Respiratory, Acute Medical/Surgical, MSK/Orthopaedics and Neurology. To take additional responsibilities for specific projects and the supervision of Band 5 staff, Physiotherapy Assistants and Students where required. To participate in the 9 monthly rotational scheme through all areas. Rotations include Neurology, Orthopaedics, MSK, Medicine and Surgery, Respiratory including ICU, Department of Medicine for the Older Person and Acute Medical Assessment unit. To work maximum 1 in 4 weekends as part of the seven-day services rota.
