We are now seeking a dedicated Finance Executive to manage all financial functions in our expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join us as a key player in our operations.
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Finance Executive to join our company and be our sole finance person at the company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records and performing various accounting tasks.
Duties:
* Full Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and cash flow management.
* VAT & Tax Compliance: Manage VAT submissions, prepare tax returns, and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations.
* Payroll Processing: Accurately process payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and compliant payments and reporting.
* Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
* Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with Managing Director to create an annual budget, and provide regular financial forecasts.
* Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts and ensure accuracy in financial records.
* Automation & Technology: Identify opportunities for further automation and implement technology solutions to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
* Liaison with Auditors & Advisors: Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and our accountants.
* Inventory Management: Assist in managing and reconciling inventory costs to ensure accurate financial reporting.
* Ad-hoc Financial Support: Provide financial insights and support for key business decisions, and assist with any other finance-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Proven experience in a Finance Executive or similar role, preferably within an SME environment.
* Experience of both Sage & Xero accounting software is essential.
* Solid understanding of VAT regulations and payroll processing.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
* Strong IT skills, with a passion for technology and automation in finance.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain financial matters clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
* A CIMA/ACCA/AAT qualification or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
