Our client is a leading provider of fire safety solutions, specializing in the design, installation, and maintenance of fire alarm and detection systems. We serve a broad range of clients in commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. As our company grows, they are looking for a skilled Fire Small Works Engineer to join their team, covering projects in Kent and London.
The Role:
As a Fire Small Works Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and servicing of fire alarm systems on small to medium-scale projects. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives on variety and is looking to work across multiple sites, ensuring high-quality fire protection solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Installing and commissioning fire alarm systems, including small works and system upgrades
Servicing and maintaining fire alarm and detection systems
Conducting fault finding, repairs, and system modifications
Liaising with clients to provide exceptional service and ensure system compliance
Ensuring all work adheres to industry standards and regulations (e.g., BS5839)
Completing required documentation, including reports and certification
Working independently and as part of a team to deliver projects on time and to specification
Attending emergency call-outs as requiredRequirements:
Proven experience in the installation, servicing, and commissioning of fire alarm systems
Knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards (e.g., BS5839, BAFE)
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work across multiple sites in Kent and London
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Relevant certifications (FIA, BAFE, or similar) are desirableWhat We Offer:
