Job Title: School Facilities Assistant Location: Hackney, E9 Salary: £25,729.34 per annum Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday Start Date: ASAP Site Management: Locking and unlocking the academy premises, ensuring the site is secure at the beginning and end of each day. Deliveries: Receiving and managing deliveries for the academy. Administrative Support: Communicating effectively with staff via email, assisting with administrative tasks such as maintaining basic Excel spreadsheets and Word documents. DIY & Maintenance: Performing general maintenance and minor repairs across the academy as needed. Physical Labour: Carrying out cleaning and gardening duties to maintain the academy grounds and interior spaces. People Skills: Engaging with staff and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation. Flexibility: Being adaptable to meet the diverse needs of the academy. Essential Skills and Qualifications: DIY Skills: Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repair is essential. Physical Fitness: Must be capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting, gardening, and cleaning. Computer Literacy: Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email communication. People Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team and engage effectively with staff and visitors. Common Sense & Reliability: The ability to think on your feet and address issues independently as they arise.
