Registered Manager - Domiciliary Care
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead our domiciliary care service, specialising in high-quality support for elderly clients living in their own homes. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe, effective, and compassionate delivery of care services that promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing for older adults.
This is a pivotal leadership role, ensuring that all care services meet the standards set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), as well as internal policies, safeguarding requirements, and best practices in elderly care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Management
Provide strong leadership to the care team, ensuring a supportive, collaborative working environment.
Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise care staff, maintaining a culture of continuous development and high performance.
Manage rota planning to ensure consistent and appropriate care coverage.
2. Care Quality & Compliance
Ensure all care services are delivered in line with CQC regulations and maintain or exceed “Good” or “Outstanding” ratings.
Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and spot checks to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
Keep accurate records, care plans, and documentation in line with data protection and compliance standards.
3. Person-Centred Care Delivery
Develop, implement, and regularly review care plans tailored to each elderly service user's needs, preferences, and goals.
Conduct initial assessments and ongoing reviews, involving families and other professionals where appropriate.
Champion dignity, respect, and independence in every aspect of care.
4. Safeguarding & Risk Management
Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, managing and reporting any concerns appropriately.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Health and Social Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
5. Stakeholder Engagement
Build and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, healthcare professionals, commissioners, and local authorities.
Represent the service in external meetings, inspections, and partnership forums.
6. Service Development
Identify opportunities for service growth and improvement, contributing to business development and innovation.
Monitor service performance using key performance indicators (KPIs), addressing any shortfalls proactively.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or equivalent - or working towards).
2. At least 2 years' experience in a managerial role within domiciliary or elderly care.
3. In-depth understanding of CQC regulations and quality standards.
4. Strong knowledge of safeguarding, mental capacity, and health and safety practices.
5. Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
6. Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.

Pay: £42,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
