Salary - up to 60,000 As Financial Controller you will champion business process and controls, analyse data to identify performance improvements, build an informative reporting structure and engage with the wider business to improve financial understanding and performance. This role requires a candidate who is driven to roll up their sleeves and immerse themselves in business operations to position both themselves and the team as key business partners. What you'll be getting up to Management of the day to day accounts function, focusing of deadlines, automation and control processes. High quality financial reporting - profit and cash flow forecasts, budget production & presentation, management accounts, external benchmarking - all helping to facilitate key management decisions Coaching and providing feedback to operational managers to drive understanding of their financial responsibilities Engaging in discussion with the wider team to encourage improvement Building key financial relationships (for example - bank, external audit, property, insurance) Continue to refine our compliance and risk management approach Proactive Tax compliance and planning - PAYE, VAT and corporation tax Managing fixed assets and company property portfolio Involvement and input in wider company and organisational matters Leading and developing the finance team to support their career development and build business collaboration Skills and experience needed Relationship building and collaboration Desire to develop and support business process improvement Experience in developing and managing a team Wide range of practical financial skills (advanced Excel, financial reporting, development and production of scorecards) Professional finance qualification Experience in managing data transformation improvements Ability to interpret and organize large amounts of data through spreadsheets.
