Exciting opportunity for an experienced Prosecutions / Criminal Litigation Lawyer to work within a well-established London Council.
Our client is looking for a Prosecutions Lawyer with experience in a local government setting, or working closely with local government.
This role is an initial 3 month contract, but will be an on-going, long-term assignment. The successful candidate will work from the office/advocare in court on average 1 - 2 days per week. The contract is for full-time hours across 5 days per week. The client offers a competitive rate of £40 - £60 per hour umbrella rate dependant on experience.

The successful Prosecutions / Criminal Litigation Lawyer's responsibilities will include delivering advice, legal support and court advocacy on the following matters, and more:
* Parking fraud
* Dog fouling
* Benefit fraud
* Lincensing
* Penalty charges
* Fraud grant applications
* COVID relief grants
* Sub-letting
This role would be suited to a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with previous experience working in local government, or has some knowledge on local government processes. This role can be adjusted to different levels of experience, so whether you're more junior looking for progression within the role, or a senior lawyer who can hit the ground running, please apply.
