Recovery Driver – Night Shift Location: Wimbledon, Greater London Shift Pattern: Tuesday-Saturday, 9 hour shifts (start time between 6pm-10pm) - overtime opportunities available. Will consider Monday-Friday. Salary: £39,060.00 for CE Drivers with a minimum 2 years’ experience. £37,060.00 for C Drivers, with progression to £39,060 on achievement of Class 1 status with training given. £3,000 Night shift allowance. Contract Type: Permanent Licences Required: Valid Class 1 (CE) or Class 2 (C) Igloo is recruiting Recovery Drivers on behalf of one of the UK’s leading vehicle movement companies, which is expanding its team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for experienced recovery drivers to play a vital role in vehicle recovery operations across London. The Role: Safely and efficiently recover a variety of vehicles, including motorcycles, using specialised recovery vehicles and equipment. Provide a professional service with clients and customers, exhibiting a courteous and helpful demeaner during recovery operations, with everyone you meet. Conduct thorough inspections of recovered vehicles, documenting any damages or issues. Collaborate with fellow recovery drivers and support staff. Accurately complete administrative duties, including using electronic devices and processes. Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations. What we need from you as a Recovery Driver: At least 2 years of experience as a recovery or tow truck driver. A Category C driving licence (Class 2) is essential; Category CE (Class 1) is desirable. Training will be provided for Class 2 drivers to achieve Class 1 status. A valid Driver CPC and digital tachograph card. Knowledge of tachograph legislation. Understanding of vehicle recovery techniques and equipment. A clean driving licence (no DR, CD, DD, IN, or TT99 endorsements) and no previous disqualifications from driving. A professional approach to safety and recovery operations. Strong communication skills, a team-oriented attitude, and the ability to work under pressure. Willingness to pass the NPPV2 vetting process. IVR (Institute of Vehicle Recovery) training is desirable but not essential. Benefits: 25 days holiday. Pension scheme. Healthcare scheme.
