G-14) Job type Non fixed term BU description EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is a subsidiary of Edvance, which is a joint venture between EDF and Framatome, established in 2018 in charge of the design and the realisation of nuclear islands for new projects in France and worldwide. In particular, EPR-E is responsible for the design and construction of the nuclear island for Hinkley Point C (HPC) project and preparing the design replication and engineering activities for the Sizewell C (SZC) Project. Job description The SZC project in Edvance is mainly managed from the UK subsidiary, EPR-E, located in Bristol. The scope of the Nuclear Island (NI) work from Edvance is part of a joint Client agreement – the Nuclear Service Agreement, which is managed as a Consortium between EDF (acting as Consortium Lead and delivering part of the scope) and Edvance (in charge of the NI scope). In the frame of the SZC project, a complex contract with very challenging contractual mechanisms is in place. The Head of Commercial is responsible for setting the contractual/commercial position for Edvance to hold, for all strategic matters that concern the SZC Arrangements (the NSA, as well as other related contracts, including an Intellectual Property Licence Agreememt). This is done in close collaboration with the Edvance Contract Management team, the Edvance technical teams, the Edvance and EDF Legal teams and more widely with the NSA Consortium. The objective in performing this role is to enable effective strategic discussion within all disciplines on material contractual topics, in order to protect Edvance’s interests when performing the SZC project, and where possible improve, the financial performance of the project. The contract is a bespoke agreement, mainly based on NEC principles, and is based on a mixed pricing strategy. The Head of Commercial will also be responsible: - to develop and deliver a commercial/contract strategy and its subsequent delivery - to lead the discussions on strategic commercial topics with wider stakeholder groups, with the ability to drive convergence (solution oriented) - to be the interface with the client for contractual related topics - to develop the processes to manage the different contractual events defined in the contract - to manage stakeholder engagement for relevant area, representing Edvance’s commercial position at key governance forums - to interact with senior management in support to the Project Director - to develop and maintain training content, key to the development of a greater commercial culture within the project team - to provide senior functional leadership, and coaching to the members of the Contract Management team The Head of Commercial reports operationally to the Project Director and will have a strong operational link to the Head of Project Control.
