Salary: £41,818.21 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week
We are seeking an NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 qualified Mechanical Engineer (Plumber) to join our team at HMP Winchester, a category B local, adult male prison.

We are a Ministry of Justice business and provide critical and time-bound services to HMPPS. We are looking for a Plumber to join us as a Mechanical Engineer with one of the following qualifications and combination of skills:
1. C&G 6189 Plumbing and domestic heating
2. C&G 5962 certificate in Plumbing (Advanced craft)
3. C&G 6019 Mechanical Engineering services (plumbing)
4. C&G 6018 heating and ventilation installation
5. C&G 6129 certificate in Plumbing
6. C&G 214 Engineering systems maintenance
7. C&G 6188 Heating and ventilating
8. C&G 6088 certificate in heating and ventilating
9. C&G 6032 the advanced craft certificate in plumbing
10. EAL Diploma in Plumbing and Heating
Additionally, candidates should have:
1. Experience working on commercial or industrial heating, water or building service systems.
2. Unvented water heater vessel course G3 - Highly desirable
3. Two years' experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent
4. Familiarity with Water supply regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
5. Good working knowledge of planned preventive maintenance operations
6. Good working knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
7. L8 awareness training - Desirable (Provided if required)
