TIG Welder/Fabricator
We are currently looking for a TIG Welder for a precision engineering company in Hailsham.
Main Purpose of the Role:
1. Ensure all TIG Welding projects are completed in conformance with specifications and set time scales.
2. Fabricate and weld components and sub-assemblies as required in line with planned manufacturing operations to defined quality standards and timescales.
3. Complete projects in accordance with planned schedules aligning fabrication and welding workload with machine shop operations.
4. Conduct quality control evaluations and set up leak checking operations using mass spectrometry equipment (helium leak detectors) on all chamber vessels.

Desirable Skills/Experience:
1. Knowledge or experience of welding and fabrication processes.
2. Qualified to BTech/HNC/HND level in a Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing discipline.
3. TIG Welding experience, ideally working with stainless steel & Mu metal.
4. Established skillset in metal fabrication and welding, including the use of precision measuring equipment.
5. Able to read specified drawings.
6. Comfortable working to deadlines set by the lead technician.
7. Basic knowledge of turning would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will need to have a minimum of 3 years' experience in TIG welding.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week with a 12 pm Friday finish.
