Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a number of Fabricators/Factory Operators for our client based in Blaydon, Tyne and Wear.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have experience in fabricating components using various materials and techniques. The Fabricator will be responsible for assembling parts and ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the fabrication process.
Responsibilities
1. Fabricate components according to specifications and drawings.
2. Perform one or all of the following roles that will vary depending on workload: Tape profiles, Saw-man, CNC Operator, and Fabricator.
3. Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
4. Work with sheet metal to create custom fabrications as required.
5. Conduct basic mathematical calculations to ensure accurate measurements and cuts.
6. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
7. Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards.
8. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fabrication process.
9. Ensure that each item accurately complies with specification.
Qualifications
1. Proven mechanical knowledge and experience in fabrication processes.
2. Familiarity with operating power tools and hand tools safely.
3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
4. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
5. Experience working with sheet metal is an advantage.
6. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
7. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
For candidates who don't have much Fabrication experience, full training can be given.
Shifts
8:30am-4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 8:30am-3:30pm Friday
Pay rate
£11.44-£15 depending on experience
