Job Title: SSSTS/SMSTS Trained Site Manager Location: Derby Project Start Date: 27th January 2025 Project Type: Fast-Track Cat B Fit-Out (Multi-Stage) Employment Type: Contract Overview: We are seeking an experienced SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) or SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) trained Site Manager to lead a challenging fast-track Cat B fit-out project. This multi-stage project requires meticulous planning and execution to ensure the safety and minimal disruption to the client's employees working in adjacent areas. Key Responsibilities: Project Management: Oversee the delivery of all construction activities, ensuring the project remains on schedule and within budget. Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by implementing and enforcing site safety protocols, adhering to SSSTS/SMSTS guidelines, and ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact between the client, contractors, and employees, effectively managing communication and expectations. Workforce Supervision: Lead, manage, and coordinate on-site teams, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to project specifications. Logistical Oversight: Coordinate deliveries, material handling, and equipment usage to prevent disruption in active client workspaces. Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of work at all stages, ensuring it meets the specified standards and client requirements. Problem-Solving: Address challenges proactively, including technical issues, delays, or unforeseen circumstances, while maintaining a focus on project goals. Requirements: Certification: Valid SSSTS or SMSTS qualification. Experience: track record of managing fit-out projects, particularly in live environments or multi-stage setups. Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, health and safety legislation, and fit-out standards. Skills: Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure. Availability: Must be available to start on or before 27th January 2025. Desirable: Experience working in occupied environments where the safety and comfort of the client’s employees are a priority.
