Repairs Planner
Location: Walton-on-Thames, KT12
Term: Full time / Perm
Salary: £28k – £31k per annum

Description of role: Responsible for responding to resident repair requests by call and email, diagnosing the repair to allocate appointments to the in house and/or subcontracted workforce. Ensure both the customer and the client receives an excellent standard of customer service
Day to Day:
1. Schedule works into diaries for up to 20 operatives daily ensuring diaries are full and immediate attention is given to allocate work to operatives when they become free.
2. Check the system for emergencies and manage within a timely manner to ensure targets are meet
3. Respond to telephone variations by seeking approval from duty surveyor so operatives may continue on the site through to completion
4. Provide a high quality service to our client on a face to face basis
5. Working within a team to achieve goals and targets achieving daily targets of a minimum of 60 allocations each day of new orders
Essential Criteria
6. Social Housing and Repair and Maintenance background.
7. Experience in planning/scheduling jobs using planning system.
8. Understanding of the various trades and jobs normally allocated to direct labour staff or subcontractors
9. Understanding the importance of reducing Work-in-Progress – Jeopardy planning, Further Works management, applying of extension of times
10. Experience of trade job durations
11. Experience of health and safety considerations when planning e.g. asbestos
12. No hybrid working, must be able to work from amin office located in Walton on Thames
13. Good level of written English e.g. ability to rite responses to complaints
14. Good computer skills
15. Good communication skills e.g. ability to communicate with different stakeholders at different levels to conclude / close jobs
