The Pre-Construction Commercial Manager will deliver pre-construction commercials on high value and critical projects, building key relationships with clients in defence, nuclear, and energy sectors.
* They will review and negotiate construction contracts, identify and address commercial risks, and ensure warranties and bonds are in place to maintain cashflow.
* Negotiating terms to maximise income and to ensure favourable contract positions.
* Working and liaising with experienced estimation and sales teams.
* Developing key relations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Working closely with internal departments to ensure successful, profitable work is won.
Key Requirements:
* Previous substantial commercial management experience with a QS or estimation background.
* Excellent people skills with the ability to influence and persuade.
* Strong experience of NEC contracts.
* Good communication and customer facing skills.
* A good understanding of the construction industry.
* Experience of winning and managing pre-construction projects.
