Location: Tollgate Depot, Salisbury
Salary: £29,093 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week, 5 out of 7 day rota, including weekends and bank holidays.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join Salisbury City Council's Environmental Service team as a Streetscene Operations Supervisor. About The Role
* To oversee the operational management of the Streetscene team, delivering a high standard service.
* To effectively manage the Salisbury City Council Depot alongside the Grounds Supervisor.
* Ensure the effective ongoing maintenance and replacement of Council vehicles, plant, and equipment.
* Oversee compliance with the legislative and best practice requirements of waste control systems.
About You
* Experienced in depot and mechanical equipment/vehicle operation and maintenance.
* Have a proven track record of team management and the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, with good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Experience in accurate asset information.
* Must enjoy a job that involves office work and working in all weather conditions.
* Waste Management & Transfer knowledge, either holder of or a willingness to complete CIWM (WAMITAB) Waste Management Level 4 Certification within 12 months of employment.
* Good knowledge of Health & Safety, able to review and write risk assessments for Streetscene operations.
* Full UK Driving License.
