Director of Training
Lead the development of training initiatives for an advanced organisation addressing global challenges, working with experts to advance deep sea exploration.
We are seeking an experienced Director of Training to lead technical training initiatives, creating training as a product with a team of experts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and manage training portfolio, ensuring alignment with the organisation's mission.
* Manage delivery of training programmes, assessing effectiveness and adherence to industry regulations.
* Oversee a team of training designers, fostering innovation and excellence in creating high-quality training programmes.
* Drive adoption of cutting-edge training technologies, such as simulation-based learning, VR, AR, and e-learning platforms.
* Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate, engaging, and effective.
* Manage the full training cycle, from identifying needs to gaining external validation.
* Select and manage external vendors and resources for training programme development and delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Recognised qualification in training, such as CTT+ or CIPD.
* Extensive experience in instructional design, training development, or a related role, including leadership positions.
* Proven track record in designing and executing successful adult training programmes.
* Ability to manage multiple projects, delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
* Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and familiarity with contemporary training design and delivery methods.
* Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and continuous improvement focus.
* Desirable: A relevant master's or bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning and Development, Adult Learning, or a related field.
