A great opportunity for a Assistant Buyer to join this leading promotional merchandise company in their London office. You will be working alongside an experienced Buying Team on a range of blue-chip clients.
What we’re looking for:
1. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Buyer to work alongside an experienced Buying Team on a range of blue-chip clients.
2. Working with the in-house design and sales teams on product ideas, concepts and project management
3. Assisting with idea generation and preparation of client presentations
4. Managing a core supplier base whilst bringing on new supply routes
5. Sourcing from the Far East and Europe
6. Negotiating costings and ensuring projects are delivered within budget
7. Writing detailed product specifications and purchase orders
8. Liaising with all departments to ensure projects are delivered to schedule
9. Defining quality requirements
What you’ll need:
10. Of graduate calibre or higher education
11. A can-do attitude and willingness to tackle a diverse array of tasks.
12. A minimum of 3 years’ previous experience would be an advantage.
13. A keen interest in consumer/ promotional products and an interest in quality assurance, and ethical sourcing from manufacturers in the UK, EU, Turkey and the Far East.
14. Commercially aware.
15. Excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to build rapport and communicate at all levels.
16. To be a real team player, with personality, empathy and the drive to succeed, with exceptional organisational skills and excellent attention to detail is crucial for this role.
