Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide individualised support to primary school students with special educational needs, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet their specific requirements.
2. Assist the class teacher in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
3. Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes the well-being and engagement of all students.
4. Support students in developing essential life skills, including communication, social interaction, and independent learning.
5. Monitor and document student progress, providing feedback to teachers, parents, and SEN coordinators.
6. Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to support the holistic development of SEN students.
Requirements:
7. Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in the UK, particularly with students who have special educational needs.
8. A solid understanding of various SEN conditions and the ability to apply appropriate strategies to support students.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
10. A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach to working with children with additional needs.
11. Relevant qualifications or training in SEN, education, or child development are highly desirable.
