About the role
The Configuration & Asset Manager reports to the ITSM Systems & Integration Manager within the Managed Services department and works closely with various teams across the Node4 Group, including Sales, Pre-Sales, the Office of the CTO (OCTO), the Project Management Office (PMO), and Operations. Their primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) by managing the data and processes that support it, enabling informed decision-making across the organisation.
As the lead for process initiatives, the Configuration Manager oversees and maintains the integrity of the CMDB while actively contributing to its design, implementation, and ongoing management. They also provide key input to other ITIL processes that depend on CMDB data.
In addition, the Configuration & Asset Manager is responsible for managing Node4’s assets and the equipment used by managed services clients. This role demands strong organisational skills, keen attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and proficiency in using relevant systems for data input and management. The ability to work independently is essential for effectively handling asset management responsibilities.
