Company Description
NOV is looking for a Field Service Technician to join their Service Team based in Manchester.
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Field Service Technician will take responsibility for supporting the maintenance of our customers' equipment on site and carrying out workshop activities for the aftermarket service team as and when required.
Your existing knowledge of mechanical equipment should include pumps and rotating equipment with vacuum and pressure systems; however, full training will be given on all the existing product lines.
As a Field Service Technician, you will liaise with the internal stakeholders of our Manchester site and manage your schedule in an efficient manner to maximise productivity and maintain strong customer relations.
Key to this role will be your ability to drive continual improvements within our processes, enhancing efficiency and performance within our industrial markets and delivering technically competent installations, commissioning, servicing, and maintenance support to our customers.

This role will involve primarily working on our customers' sites in support of our service activities both within the UK and overseas as required.
Job Description
* Liaise with the NOV service and projects teams / management in all aspects relating to service maintenance activities.
* Prepare, review and approve work packs required for the activities being carried out by the service team.
* Mechanical completion checks, Factory acceptance Checks, Electrical function / loop checks, Compiling technical report for submission on customers' equipment, Leak/Pressure testing.
* Under management direction, provide after sales services including inspections, spares, technical advice with specific requirements liaising with the engineering department when necessary.
* Ensure personnel compliance with all HSE legislation and HSE company policies.
* Be fully familiar/ conversant with departmental and company policies, procedures and processes ensuring all work and actions are always in full compliance.
* Daily travel to the customers' sites when required to do so.
* Carry out other duties as and when the business requirements dictate may be reasonably expected by the service manager.
Required Profile
* Recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering to C&G, ONC, HNC.
* Can demonstrate the correct interpretation of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
* Mechanical / electrical knowledge within the installation, commissioning and maintenance providers.
* Knowledge of industry standards and procedures appertaining to the wastewater sector.
* Computer literacy including a good command on Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook in order to complete technical service reports or other documentation as required by the service manager/ administration teams.
