As Maintenance Assistant at Sodexo, you will be the go-to person, the one with the answers to everyone's questions, and the one who knows how to keep the facilities operating smoothly. You will provide technical advice and support for the maintenance of equipment, building fabric, and utility services across the Royal Stoke Hospital estate. What you’ll do:
* Provide a reactive and planned preventative maintenance service during normal operating hours to the PFI estate.
* Interpret and work from instructions, drawings, and specifications without supervision.
* Perform hands-on building repairs within the limits of your trade.
* Set out new work using relevant tools and materials independently.
* Complete scheduled PPM tasks and handover areas, including sheeting and signage installation.
* Adhere to statutory and legal requirements, including Health & Safety and HTMs.
* Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work across trades within your technical competency.
* Use IT systems for data input and monitoring within Quality Assurance and reporting systems.
* Ensure compliance with legislation, HTMs, ACOPs.
What you bring:
* Experience repairing plant and equipment, as well as the ability to fault find, read drawings, diagnose, and repair equipment using your technical knowledge.
* Ability to keep work pace and meet deadlines, along with good organisation skills.
* Great communication skills, strong teamwork, and a positive attitude.
* Capable of working as part of a team or unsupervised, and of remaining calm under pressure.
