Fostering Social Worker
Swindon Borough Council is looking to expand their current team. The Fostering team is seeking a Social Worker to join a well-structured and organized team. In addition to joining a supportive team, our client offers a competitive salary, opportunities for training to enhance your skills, and potential progression within your team. This Fostering Social Worker role will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstances and your performance. Swindon Borough Council will also offer a flat rate of £50 extra a week for petrol if you live 50+ miles from the council.
Fostering Social Worker Responsibilities Include:
1. Conducting Fostering Statutory Visits.
2. Household Foster Carer review assessment and reporting.
3. Writing Standards of Care reports.
4. Writing foster care development plans.
5. Writing educational material for special guardian applicants.
6. Updating the LA database accordingly and performance management.
Requirements / Experience preferred:
1. Post-qualifying experience of working as a Fostering Social Worker within the UK Social Care industry.
2. HCPC Registration.
3. 1-2 years post-qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry.
4. Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you).
5. Eligibility to work in the UK.
