Job Title: PMO Manager
Location: Peterborough, Cambs, UK - Hybrid
Are you an experienced PMO manager, used to governing and assuring a portfolio of complex, global projects and programmes within a large, federated group? Are you an experienced manager with the ability to motivate and develop your own team of 3, whilst also managing a shared resource in a matrix environment?

In this role you will be part of the wider leadership team and partner with many specialist areas of the business such as finance, the Security GRC team and a variation of senior IT stakeholders across our group of global food brands. Working with a knowledgeable and collaborative team, you will govern delivery work through the application and adoption of the ABFBTS IT Project Way (predominantly based on Prince 2 and waterfall methodologies) and chair the weekly project governance body to ensure that projects progress to the next phase with appropriate controls. Ultimately ensuring projects and programmes are prioritised effectively and aligned to operational and strategic objectives.
What you'll be doing:
* Embed the right project governance structure to ensure that projects are controlled, aligned to business goals and smoothly handed over to service.
* Ensure ongoing management and continuous improvement of the PMO, ensuring that BTS has the required delivery capabilities to deliver its Portfolio’s across the businesses we support.
* Ensure resource utilisation is optimised across all projects & programmes and that the delivery function achieves its utilisation targets.
* Monitor and report on project & programme progress, performance and delivery using Power BI, further enhance these reports as needed.
* Monitor & report on the financial position across all projects / programmes along with the forecast recovery position, partnering with BTS Finance.
* Forecast work capacity vs demand across all portfolios working closely with the BTS Delivery Management Team.
* Develop the PMaaS offering, operating model & ways of working for pooled delivery resources from BTS supporting the delivery of Business Change & Technology Projects across ABF businesses.
* Provide data analysis and reporting capability to the wider BTS Senior Leadership Team, Wider Leadership Team & BU Stakeholders including divisional CIOs.
* Provide PMO expertise / services / consultancy across ABF business units to drive commonality of standards and processes for PMO & governance.
* Support direct reports to understand their drivers and interests, collaboratively building career plans and developing their skills for the future.
What you'll bring:
* Proven experience of governing multimillion pound project & programme portfolios.
* Experience of deploying a project delivery methodology for IT Projects across geographically widespread businesses within a federated environment.
* Experience of using PMO tooling (PowerBI) to develop reports & insight into delivery to seek efficiencies and minimise risk.
* Ensure BTS portfolios of projects and programmes remain compliant to ABF standards including the ABF Red Book, internal assurance processes and financial control frameworks, with proven experience within this remit.
* Experience of managing project / programme dependencies and identification of opportunities to group similar work together, creating opportunity to promote efficiency and save multiple investments.
* Experience of master resource management and ability to work across portfolios to plan resourcing & capabilities accordingly to meet project / programme needs.
* Prince 2 project management qualification with ideally additional recognised qualifications such as K30 or MSP.
* Comprehensive stakeholder management skills with the ability to act with diplomacy across a varied and demanding C Level & C Level minus one stakeholder group.
