About the Role
As a Systems Test Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and performance of software for hardware systems.
This highly hardware-focused position involves testing software for real-time embedded systems, identifying errors, debugging, and working closely with a multidisciplinary team.
You’ll contribute to the delivery of innovative solutions for Airborne Mission Systems, Tactical Mission Systems, and ground-based Synthetic Training Systems.

What You’ll Do
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Collaborating across disciplines to develop software through the full lifecycle, adhering to engineering best practices.
* Translating software requirements into actionable test objectives.
* Designing, developing, and debugging test scenarios and scripts.
* Setting up and configuring test rigs for manual and automated testing.
* Tracking and managing defects while investigating issues found in testing or in the field.
* Delivering robust documentation, including test reports and user guides.
* Providing estimates for testing efforts and contributing to project progress metrics.
* About You
We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented engineer with the following:
Essential Skills
* Proven experience with manual and automated testing methods.
* Expertise in real-time embedded systems and hardware-focused software testing.
* Proficiency in low-level code analysis, debugging, and error correction.
* Familiarity with UML designs and interpreting them effectively.
* Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Sprints, Stand-ups, Retrospectives).
* Desirable Skills
* Background in Airborne Mission Systems or Training Systems (ground/air-based).
* Knowledge of Incremental or V-model development approaches.
* Experience with tools such as PTC Modeller, VxWorks, Green Hills, Visual Studio, or similar.
* Proficiency in coding languages such as C#, C/C++, Java, Python, for scripting or supporting software design.
* Familiarity with platforms like Jira, Quality Centre, or Confluence.
