Northumbrian Water’s Wastewater Networks team has a rare and exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to join us as a Wastewater Networks Projects Coordinator.
In this role, you will play a key part in delivering projects that directly shape our business plan for 2025 and beyond. Your work will focus on eradicating sewer flooding and pollution within our wastewater networks, contributing to solutions that improve lives and protect the environment. Collaborating closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders, you’ll ensure the successful delivery of our wastewater networks contract while helping us achieve an effective balance between asset needs and financial performance.
You will lead technical reviews with the wastewater networks team, using your expertise to make smart decisions that drive results. Alongside this, you’ll champion Health & Safety by conducting process reviews, incident investigations, and on-site audits, adopting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Your technical knowledge will be invaluable in providing support and coaching to the commercial contracts team, the wider wastewater networks team, and our supply chain. Through your expertise, you will help ensure that our wastewater network operates efficiently, effectively, and sustainably.
About you
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a positive, problem-solving attitude. Your ability to stay organised and manage competing priorities will be essential.
We’re looking for you to have proven experience of Microsoft Office packages, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with the capability to quickly adapt to corporate systems and processes. You’ll regularly produce reports in Word and communicate your findings effectively, both in writing and verbally, ensuring clarity and impact.
Experience working in a demanding, regulated business environment is essential, as is the ability to work across multiple teams with ease. You’ll have a degree in environmental, construction, or civil engineering, and you’ll also need a full, valid driving licence as site travel will be required.
If you’re ready to bring your expertise, adaptability, and enthusiasm to a role where you’ll make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.
