Team/Role Overview Equities In-Business Risk and Controls team is focused on strengthening the governance, supervisory and control framework. This role will work with the wider Global team to continue to develop the governance, control & supervision framework across Equities, working closely with the Business Heads, Desk Supervisors and Business Management teams to deliver and support both business specific and Markets-wide regulatory and control related initiatives. What you’ll do Support MCA Transformation to incorporate Equities specific nuances in evaluation of key operational risks and non-financial risk appetite framework. Engage with Internal Audit, Compliance and other review groups as Equities MCA/ Regulations lead. Facilitate and participate in ad-hoc reviews and regulatory / supervisory examinations of the wider business. Partner with ICRM / Regulations Management to ensure all regulatory obligations applicable to Equities have control processes for ongoing adherence. Direct teams in the implementation of the Lessons Learned Policy, monitoring control breaches and dissemination and learnings across other business units for process improvement to limit the occurrence of similar future events. Identify root cause, partnering with control and process owners to recommend holistic corrective actions and improvements, provide check and challenge to ensure appropriate escalation in accordance with Escalation Policies. Oversee the assessment and management of risks associated with New Activities and changes to the Business, ensuring these are well understood and adequately controlled. Identify, assess, record and respond to Operational and Compliance Risk events, ensuring these are captured accurately, timely and in accordance with requirements. Assist in coordinating issue management including issue oversight and reporting, and inputting to root cause analysis and issue remediation. What we’ll need from you Solid working knowledge of end-to-end product flows or lifecycle events of Markets preferably Equities Expertise in key regulations such as SMCR, MIFID II, EMIR Risk and Control expertise within first line with strong focus on Risk Management and Supervisory Frameworks Regulatory remediation experience such as MRA, MRIA, Consent Order Experience working in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholders Ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication Strong experience in financial services What we can offer you Develop a detailed understanding of the Equities businesses, products and processes and how it operates globally within a large organization.
