Are you looking to gain valuable Construction industry experience while earning some extra income? Join GRAHAM for a temporary (1 day per week) paid internship at our Workington CDC project in Cumbria for 6-8 weeks.
About the Role: We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team on a short-term basis. This internship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry.
Key Details
1. Duration: 6-8 weeks (maximum)
2. Schedule: One day per week
3. Pay Rate: £11.50 per hour
4. Location: Workington CDC, Cumbria
Ideal Candidates: This opportunity is perfect for students (undergraduates), qualified adults, returners, or postgraduates looking to gain industry experience. The role is preferably in site engineering but could also support site/construction management.
Responsibilities
1. Assist with site engineering tasks and support the construction management team.
2. Work closely with the GRAHAM project management team.
3. Gain practical experience and insights into the construction industry.
4. Quality inspections and Health and Safety monitoring.
Requirements
1. Strong interest in Site Engineering or Construction management – with a minimum HNC in Construction or Engineering or similar.
2. Enthusiastic and eager to learn.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
