An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced Cardiac Nurse to join the Cardiac Rehabilitation Service at King’s College Hospital, Princess Royal University Hospital.
The Cardiac Health and Rehabilitation team includes specialist nurses, exercise specialists, and admin support. We offer the highest standard of evidence-based patient-focused care by promoting cardiac health, general well-being, and positive lifestyle changes to patients post cardiac event or cardiac intervention.
We are looking for a well-organised Nurse who can take on their own caseload and work within the team ensuring quality care for our patients. You should possess experience in the care of cardiac patients, preferably backed by a relevant post-qualification course.
You should be able to demonstrate the ability to impart complex information to patients, relatives, and carers, with different levels of understanding and to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to work within a dynamic forward-thinking team. A keen interest in assisting patients with the physical, psychological, and social aspects of their recovery is important for this role. Our aim is for our patients to enjoy an improved quality of life by giving them the tools to understand and manage their cardiac condition.
The successful applicant will assist with the provision of rehabilitation exercise sessions, clinics, and patient education. We offer individualised advice, support, and information to patients and their carers in both inpatient and outpatient settings. We have close working links with our Heart Failure service, ACS team, and deliver bespoke rehabilitation programmes to this complex set of patients. We would anticipate the successful applicant would share our enthusiasm to explore new and innovative ways of working within these specialities.
