Associate Director - Mackie Myers - Finance, Ops and Exec Search - FMCG/Manufacturing and Industrial
Mackie Myers is delighted to be partnering with this well-established family run manufacturing business in the search for their next Managing Director.
The Managing Director (MD) will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, leadership and management of the company. The MD will ensure the companys growth, profitability and operational excellence by driving business development, optimising production processes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the companys strategic vision and long-term goals in alignment with the Board of Directors.
* Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, quality and cost effectiveness in production processes.
* Financial oversight: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships and markets to drive growth.
* Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and develop the executive team and staff fostering a positive productive work environment.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including customers, suppliers and regulatory bodies.
* Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards and company policies. Identify and mitigate potential risks.
* Innovation and Improvement: Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging the adoption of new technologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Managing Director or in a similar Executive role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management and quality control.
* Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
* Financial acumen and experience in managing budgets and financial performance.
* Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
* Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field, MBA or advanced degree preferred.
* Strategic thinking and problem solving.
* Ability to lead and inspire teams.
* Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
* High level of integrity and professionalism.
