Hours: 32.5 per week term time only Salary: Grade D scp 6-11 18,496 - 20,028 per annum The Governors are looking to appoint an experienced and qualified Learning Support Assistant Level 2 to join our highly skilled and committed Teaching Assistant SEND team to support children with specific SEND needs. The SEND payment is only payable for the hours stated within the EHC Plan. We are looking to appoint someone who is able to: Support the learning and development of a child with an EHC Plan Understand the skills needed to be an effective team member. Develop specific resources necessary to support the child s learning and development Work effectively with other professionals Provide support for a range of teaching and learning activities Provide extensive support to meet the child s needs Feedback to parents about progress on a daily basis Be flexible in their approach to meeting the child s needs and be receptive to advice from professionals Demonstrate knowledge and understanding around effective behaviour management and be confident in implementing appropriate strategies Remain calm and professional at all times, and maintain a positive approach To frame conversations around a child in a positive manner Provide support for the child during transitions Has a good understanding of an EHCP and is able to support with completing the paperwork for an annual review Candidates must complete a Bolton Council application form and write a letter outlining all their skills and abilities that make them an ideal candidate for this post, by Monday 28th April, addressed to Mrs J.Scott, Headteacher.
