We are currently recruiting for a full time, permanent Procurement Buyer to carry out specific strategic sourcing of goods and services, in line with Standing Financial Instructions, EU Procurement Directives and UK Legislation whilst understanding the supply chain cost to determine optimal supply routes to obtain best value for money whilst not negotiating on the quality.
Ensure the Trust procurement activities are compliant in line with Standing Financial Instructions, EU Procurement Directives and UK Legislation.
▪ Contribute to ensuring the Trust achieves its savings programme by identifying where savings opportunities can be captured.
▪ Support the Trust in achieving key Model Ambulance metrics by increasing spend on supplier managed catalogues.
▪ Correctly interpret and collate requirements via the data received, informing decision making by recommending alternative products and/or services to budget holders to achieve best value for money.
▪ Provide advice and guidance on purchasing related matters, liaising with Trust stakeholders, departments, and budget holders to ensure value for money is achieved in all Trust non pay expenditure.
▪ Ensure requisitions are raised in accordance with relevant contracts, routing through pre agreed supplier managed catalogues where appropriate.

▪ Analyse and compare financial pricing and purchasing options for low value quotes, following a procurement process. Establish the most economically advantageous quote and draft formal contracts.
▪ The post holder may be required to provide administrative support to Senior Procurement Managers during the tender process, analysing complex tender documents.
