Job Purpose: As a Parts Advisor - Field Based, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer support and driving sales growth. This role involves assisting customers in identifying and ordering parts, managing and auditing stock at customer sites across the UK, and providing valuable market intelligence to our UK Parts Controller. By building strong customer relationships, you will contribute to increasing part sales and maintaining our competitive edge in the market. Key Responsibilities: Customer Support: Assist customers onsite in identifying and ordering the correct parts. Maintain a professional and approachable relationship with customers, acting on their needs promptly. Provide written visit reports highlighting key actions and follow-ups. Inventory Management: Audit and manage owned stock located at customer sites, ensuring accurate record-keeping. Handle inventory processes, including returns, stock cleansing, obsolescence, and slow-moving stock. Manage stock entry and adjustments using the company’s in-house warehouse system. Data Collection & Analysis: Gather parts data from onsite personnel, including competitor pricing and customer purchase trends. Interpret data analysis provided by head office to make inventory and pricing recommendations. Report on customer complaints and competitor intelligence to the central parts team. Business Development: Identify and target potential new business opportunities using customer sales reports. Track and report the results of price changes and new business won from competitors. Implement smart discounting strategies for parts not purchased through the company while maintaining profit margins on existing sales. Accountabilities & Commitments: Maintain an up-to-date customer contact database. Build and nurture strong professional relationships with customers to drive loyalty and repeat business. Stay informed about the full range of company products and competitor offerings. Collaborate with the UK Parts Controller to develop and execute strategies for winning new business. Qualifications & Skills Required: Proven experience in a similar field-based parts advisory or inventory management role. Strong organizational and inventory management skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions. Proficiency in using inventory systems and Microsoft Office Suite. A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service. Willingness to travel extensively across the UK. The successful candidate will be required to travel 4 days a week to customer sites, Uk only, and 1 day per week onsite at the Warwick office
