Job Description
The project manager role at Taphandles UK is responsible for managing the many details involved in bringing a new beverage dispense concept, mainly bespoke beer fonts, from idea to reality. We are in the business of helping breweries and beverage companies sell their products by making them stand out against their competition. The project manager is responsible for coordinating engineering resources, timelines, budgets, and managing risks and scope changes to ensure projects are delivered on-time while meeting all quality criteria. In conjunction with other department leadership, the project manager will also lead ongoing development, documentation and implementation of business processes, systems and/or tools to drive data integrity and efficient and effective project management across the departments.
For this particular hire, the project manager role will involve an additional logistics focus, coordinating freight from Asia to the rest of the world, and supporting the project management team with costing and issue resolution around freight issues. A few days per month we receive containers that need unloading and re-shipping. This hire will be responsible for the execution of shipping transactions from the Witney location.
The project manager is a key role that involves high levels of cross-functional collaboration to drive accountability, continuous improvement, and optimize outcomes that achieve business objectives for projects, projects, and initiatives. Skills such as leadership, communication, time management, adaptation and critical thinking on projects are essential. Being detail oriented and reading through documents thoroughly is critical.
This job will be a full time in-person role located in Witney, Oxfordshire, UK.
Requirements
What you will need to succeed:
* This is an entry level position, so previous experience is not required. We will train you to succeed in our business.
* Must be able to do manual handling up to 16kg.
* We seek quick learners. During our interview we will attempt to teach you a new skill and see how fast you learn it.
* Problem solving approach: we do difficult things and need people who are always working towards a solution, overcoming roadblocks, and finding the possible.
* Ownership and responsibility to iterate quickly.
* This is a detail-oriented job. Every project has many details to keep straight, and this is something some people are good at and other not. Please self-select if this is for you.
* University graduate – any subject.
* Good writing skills in English. Other languages a plus – we’re a worldwide business.
* Ability to learn technical concepts. This is not an engineering job but the position works with engineers on a daily basis. It is necessary to learn their language and work with engineers effectively.
Salary: £35,000 to £50,000 per year
