Job Title: Cook Location: Trinity House, 15 Kilrea Road, Garvagh Salary Scale: £12.02 per hour Hours: 37.5 hours Responsible to: Head of Home MAIN FUNCTION OF JOB To assist the Cook to plan and cook nutritional meals (including baking) to meet the needs of the residents, within the Christian ethos and aims of Trinity House. BACKGROUND INFORMATION Trinity House is one of 6 homes for older people run by the Council for Social Witness (Older People Services) and is situated at 15 Kilrea Road, Garvagh. The Home accommodates 50 residents who have a variety of physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs and varying levels of dependency, including a 16 bed Unit for those with a diagnosis of dementia. The Home operates a No Smoking Policy CRITERIA QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE Essential Evidence an understanding of and respect for the needs of older people; Awareness of health and safety practices within a catering and residential environment. Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
