About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging English Literature lessons to Key Stages 4 and 5 students, focusing on GCSE and A-Level curriculum requirements. Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate a wide range of literary texts and genres. Facilitate in-depth discussions and debates, encouraging students to analyse and interpret literary works from diverse perspectives. Assess student progress through essays, presentations, and examinations, providing detailed and constructive feedback. Contribute to the development of the English Literature curriculum and participate in departmental meetings and planning sessions. Organize and lead extracurricular activities, such as book clubs and poetry workshops, to enhance student learning. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in English Literature or a related field. Extensive experience teaching English Literature to GCSE and A-Level, with a proven track record of achieving excellent student results. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to present complex literary concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
