About the Role:
As a Wellbeing & Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning, organising, and delivering a wide range of engaging activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. You will work closely with our Wellbeing Manager, Caring Team, and residents, particularly those living with memory impairments, to ensure that each activity is tailored to their individual needs and preferences.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Wellbeing Manager and Dementia Lead to develop and implement a diverse activities programme that supports the wellbeing of all residents.
* Focus on providing meaningful and stimulating activities for residents living with memory impairments.
* Encourage and support resident participation to ensure everyone feels included.
* Work collaboratively with the Caring Team to create a positive and supportive environment.
* Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments as needed.
* Support residents on outings and social events, both within and outside the care home.
* Build strong relationships with residents, their families, and the wider community.
About You:
* Experience in a similar role within a care home or community setting is desirable but not essential.
* A genuine passion for supporting older people, especially those with memory impairments.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Creative and resourceful, with the ability to adapt activities to suit individual needs.
* Patience, empathy, and a caring nature.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
