MASH Mental Health & Addiction service delivers programmes that have been developed on recovery principles that enable those with alcohol and/or drug issues to regain and develop control over their lives and establish the necessary skills that they believe are required in order to achieve this.
The Mental Health & Addiction Service provide various levels of care to our people such as: Facts and Effects, Community Support Groups, One to One, Community Programmes and Residential programmes. We believe in people and their ability to make changes.
As a part of the Team you will be promoting and supporting clients towards a healthy lifestyle by maintaining a high quality of life, a quality home environment, supporting and encouraging their recovery journey, and encouraging full participation in all aspects of community daily life.
* You will earn between $29.19 - $31.35 per hour depending on qualifications

The Role:
The Home Coordinator leads and manages our residential site based in Hastings. To be successful in this key role you will mentor and inspire our team of support staff who assist people so they can live in an environment that ensures their individual needs and aspirations are being met. Your day may include supporting people to plan day-to-day tasks, attending activities in the community, personal cares, domestic chores, or medication administration. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the home, ensuring the needs of others are met by maintaining a high standard of service. Your excellent communication skills and leadership capability will enable you to encourage your team to be successful in their role, providing them with the support and assistance that they need.
This role is part-time permanent working 60 hours per fortnight working every second week.
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday 4.50pm until 8am the following day.
Skills and Experience:
* Minimum Level 3 qualification; however, a relevant Level 4 qualification within healthcare is preferred.
* Proven experience in successfully leading a team.
* A willingness to provide personal cares.
* Current full NZ driver license as you may be required to drive a 10-seater van as part of your day-to-day job.
* Effective relationship building and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a quality focus.
* Experience in working with challenging behaviours.
* A current full New Zealand drivers license.
