The Chief Operations Officer (COO) is a key member of the Club's senior leadership team responsible for proactively maximising revenue and growing the fan base whilst ensuring the highest standards of stadium operation at Headingley Cricket Ground.
The COO is accountable for overall stadium P&L. They will provide leadership, insights and strategy that will not only drive income through sponsorship, ticketing, hospitality, and membership, but develop new revenue streams that will ensure sustained and continued growth for Yorkshire Cricket.
The COO will oversee and integrate all aspects of stadium operations, including facilities management and health and safety, ensuring effective processes and policies are in place to maximise operational efficiency and minimise risk.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
- Optimise the product, pricing and sales strategies to maximise match day and non-match day occupancy within the stadium
- Oversee strategic marketing of Yorkshire Cricket to grow and diversify brand exposure, engagement and loyalty
- Lead the event day planning and operation at Headingley Cricket
- Ground, coordinating and integrating activities across various departments and suppliers to deliver exceptional customer experience including catering, cleaning, transport, security, stewarding, AV and grounds management.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
Essential criteria:
- 10+ years experience in the commercial delivery and operations of a world class venue
- Significant knowledge and experience in the development of commercial strategy to identify and establish new revenue streams
- Demonstrable experience and understanding in overseeing profit and loss operations for a major venue or stadium
- Demonstrable experience in contract management of key stakeholders to ensure value-for-money and high standards of service
- Demonstrable experience and/or commitment to delivering the values of YCCC's EDI Plan
