Job Title
A Project Engineer is needed to join the Major Projects department at Northern Powergrid. This role will play a crucial part in delivering construction projects that meet time, cost, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop HV/EHV project requirements into compliant engineering solutions.
* Provide HV/EHV project designs and documentation detailing engineering requirements.
* Interface with stakeholders to develop and deliver HV/EHV projects.
* Produce financial proposals for developed HV/EHV design solutions.
* Produce detailed project scopes and technical specifications for developed HV/EHV projects.
* Develop and deliver CDM-compliant HV/EHV projects.
Key Competencies:
* Knowledge of engineering standards, principles, and practice in power systems projects.
* Knowledge of safety legislation and procedures, including HSWA, EAWR, and CDM.
* Experience with engineering and construction contracts for substations, overhead lines, and cable works.
* Ability to project manage critical infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
* Ability to lead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams.
* Knowledge of monitoring and maintaining project delivery timescales.
Requirements:
* HNC in electrical engineering or equivalent STEM subject.
* Knowledge of EHV/HV electrical power systems and associated engineering requirements.
* Demonstrated ability to drive asset development and delivery plans forward.
Remuneration:
£51,761 - £70,784 per annum, plus personal transport provision of £305/month, and technical incentive up to £2000/year.
