Senior Social Worker - Continuing Healthcare/117 Team
Salary: Band 10: £41,510 - £45,718 per annum
37 hours per week
The role
We are looking for a Senior Social Worker with a range of experience to join our Continuing Healthcare/117 Team. You will need to be able to operate with a level of autonomy and authority, assessing the needs of a wide range of adults with complex and complicated needs and their carers, identifying creative and personalised ways to provide support based on this.
You will consistently demonstrate a high level of competence and confidence in the full range of social work tasks, particularly in relation to Older People, adults with physical and sensory needs, adults with mental health needs, learning needs, and those undergoing transition from Children to Adults.
You will be responsible for managing your own caseload and maintaining case records but will also be expected to supervise qualified and unqualified staff.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Social Worker registered with Social Work England and have substantial post-qualified experience. You will be passionate about putting people at the heart of what you do, understanding the needs of the client group as well as promoting and supporting individuals' rights and choices. You will have knowledge of the Care Act, some experience of Continuing Healthcare, a thorough understanding of adult safeguarding legislation, and an understanding of the National Framework for NHS Continuing Health Care and NHS Funded Nursing Care 2022. With excellent interpersonal skills, you will be able to work in collaboration and communicate effectively with service users, staff, peers, professionals, and more senior leaders. In addition, you will have excellent organisational and assessment skills, be able to deal with conflict, and have experience of working in a supervisory role.
