We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial and Contracts Manager to join the Commercial Services team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers.

The Commercial and Contract Manager is responsible for overseeing all financial and contractual aspects of contracted works on their Programme Delivery sub-programme.
This includes developing project budgets, negotiating with Contract Partners and suppliers, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, evaluating financial risks, and ensuring financial success by overseeing the financial aspects of the contracts.
They will also be responsible for supporting the Manager of Commercial in developing and implementing commercial strategies and identifying new commercial opportunities.
The Commercial and Contract Manager will work closely with the Capital Delivery Programme Manager to optimise contract performance and deliver contracts within budget and on schedule.
Additionally, they will develop and implement contract administration, risk assessment, and procurement strategies to support the successful completion of projects and will provide guidance and support in aspects such as risk management, cost control, and budget control.

6. Supply chain strategic development and control
What skills & qualifications you will need:
1. Commercial acumen and commercial advisory expertise
2. Extensive commercial knowledge of allocation of risks and liabilities
3. Extensive knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts
4. More than 10 years commercial experience
5. Professional qualification, or working to a professional qualification associated with the role
6. Ability to work with all stakeholders, provide guidance and support key decisions to achieve commercial outcomes that benefit Programme Delivery

2. Experience of working within the water/utilities sector
3. Knowledge and expertise associated with developing commercial processes and procedures
