Helping Hands is a leading private home care provider company dedicated to providing adults of all ages the expert care and support they need to live independently at home. As we embark on our strategic technology roadmap of the next 5 years, we are seeking a talented IT Architect to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of our IT infrastructure, in collaboration with our business and strategic technology partners.
As the IT Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure IT solutions that align with our strategic business objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and external partners, to ensure our IT architecture supports our strategic goals. Excellent communication and listening skills are a must.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop IT architecture solutions that meet the business requirements and align with industry best practices where appropriate.
* Collaborate with HH stakeholders, work with our business analyst(s) to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
* Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and processes to enhance our IT infrastructure and deliver step change in terms where relevant.
* Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of IT systems and applications.
* Create and maintain architectural documentation, including diagrams, data flows, standards, frameworks and guidelines.
* Provide technical leadership and guidance to IT teams during the initiation, build and implementation of architectural solutions, together with measuring the success following go-live and hypercare.
* Conduct regular assessments and audits of IT systems to identify areas for improvement, upgrade, refresh or sunsetting.
* Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the organization.
Required Skills and Technologies:
* Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
* Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable and secure IT solutions.
* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Knowledge of networking, security, and data management best practices.
* Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jira).
* Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, PowerShell).
* Strong understanding of database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams, internally as well as external.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
* Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, ITILv4) are a plus.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Proven experience as an IT Architect or similar role.
