About the Role:
Join their team as a Senior Residential Support Worker in Caterham, Surrey. This is a small, specialised children's residential home catering to young people aged 14-15 with mild emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). This role offers a supportive environment with excellent training and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Foster Positive Environment: Contribute to a nurturing and secure atmosphere to ensure the emotional and personal growth of young people.
Shift Leadership: Lead and plan shifts, ensuring staff deployment meets children's needs and all risk assessments are adhered to.
Activity Engagement: Plan and engage young people in recreational and social activities that are constructive and enriching.
Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects of your work.
Team Contribution: Write reports, attend professional meetings, and positively contribute to team meetings.
Health & Safety: Comply with health and safety requirements and report any shortfalls immediately.
Model Best Practices: Demonstrate excellent childcare practices and support new staff through the induction process.
Key Worker Role: Act as a key worker for specific young people, managing casework, report writing, and care plans.
Professional Development: Engage in training and development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Documentation: Utilize designated systems for documenting and tracking the progress of young people.
Resource Management: Use available resources efficiently to meet the needs of young people and maintain cleanliness in living areas.
Leadership: Step into shift lead roles as needed and maintain accurate casework records.

Criteria:
Experience: Must have experience working in a children's residential setting.
