Join us in this role as Head of Near Shore Operations at our UK East Coast Hub which forms part of the Region Europe Generation Portfolio. Working in the UK East, you’ll develop and deliver the long term asset performance requirements across UK East Region to drive continuous improvement & increased value (EBITDA/NPV basis).
Reporting directly to the Head of Generation UK East, you will lead, develop and have line management responsibility for a small team of Directors and Senior Managers to ensure we deliver our mission of being an integrated and trusted owner/operator delivering safe, reliable, and compliant green generation whilst maximizing value creation throughout the operational life of our assets.

You’ll be part of UK East Hub – where you will represent and be part of the Senior Leadership Team for the UK East Asset Portfolio and will work closely and collaborate with the Head of Far Shore and senior leadership colleagues across Commercial, Engineering, HV& Transmission, Site Support, and Transformation functions as well as engaging with key stakeholders in Global Support & Functional Teams.
You’ll play an important role in:
* Developing and executing the long term far-shore asset strategy having accountability for full P&L performance over the asset lifecycle.
* Leading and developing a team of Directors and Managers responsible for the day-to-day management of our assets.
* Safety leadership - developing a strong, positive HSE culture and ensuring focus on maintaining and improving standards related to how HSE is managed across the portfolio.
* Supporting all commercial elements of business transformation towards enhanced operational efficiency, reduced cost, increased revenue and best in class safety management in close cooperation with the Transformation & Continuous Improvement team.
* Facilitating long term business case performance reviews across UK East Region to drive continuous improvement & increased value (EBITDA/NPV basis).
* Supporting risk management processes and assessment of the opportunity pipeline.
To succeed in the role, you:
* Have extensive leadership, performance management and line management experience.
* Have significant experience in a senior leadership capacity within an energy generation or similar safety critical environment.
* Have commercial acumen and depth of understanding of the prevailing market dynamics - as a team, we are going through a transformation where we will be creating a culture where commercial decision making is intrinsic to our operations.
* Have strong communication skills and the ability to establish, maintain, and develop effective relationships.
* Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and teams as well as the ability to influence key stakeholders such as JV partners and external bodies / authorities.
