Job Description
Major Projects is a dynamic and fast-moving sub-division within United Living Infrastructure Services that requires resource management that is ready to deploy at scale for major infrastructure projects across the UK.
We are seeking a strategic and dynamic Operations Resource Manager to join our Major Projects team. If you are a visionary individual with a knack for crafting effective staffing strategies in operational construction settings, we would like to talk to you.
The successful candidate will report to the Director for Major Projects and will be responsible for developing and implementing a resource management plan that works with the existing business processes and partners as well as identifying and building new and alternative resource pathways to provide future resilience.
An individual capable of being a leader at United Living, acting as the responsible party for all staffing of the sub-division.
Drive organisational excellence in reviewing, updating and articulating processes, policies, and procedures across the function in collaboration with the existing staff.
Assist the Operational team in developing detailed job specifications and roles and responsibilities for future resource requirements.
Develop and build relationships with alternative staffing solutions such as technical and labour only contractors.
Driving recruitment process and ensure sourcing of suitable candidates that meet the job specifications.
Establishes and maintains lasting relationships with a head hunted talent pipeline ensuring continual engagement of candidates.
Adheres to all policies and procedures relating to the recruitment process, compliance and the reporting thereof
Takes responsibility and accountability for the achievement of deadlines and ensures push communication and reporting is applied.
Understanding of the structures of professional services / consulting models and its policies and procedures would be preferred
Qualifications
At least 5 years of recruitment experience focusing on the sourcing of technical skills for the construction sector, and preferred some experience of the oil and gas (or hydrocarbons) sector.
A sound understanding of the basic conditions of employment and the associated risks.
Strong communication and relationship management skills.
Detailed job specification authoring experience for a technical or construction sector.
Strong administration skills with regards to tracking daily recruitment activities and adhering to policies and procedures.
Some experience of account management focusing on the growth and development of resources within large corporate construction contractors
Additional Information
Must be highly computer literate including Microsoft Office and confident in managing and working with data
Must be a good time keeper. This job is a full-time role, 8am-5pm Monday to Friday
