Job Advert: Stores Coordinator Location: Stevenage Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum Overtime Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Permanent Job Purpose: We are looking for a motivated and experienced Stores Coordinator to join our dynamic and growing manufacturing team. The role involves processing material requirements, supporting the Purchasing and Planning teams, and ensuring the smooth operation of the stores department. Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance & KPI Achievement: Deliver high-quality work to the required standards, within agreed timescales, meeting all key performance indicators (KPIs) as set by the department. Warehouse & Storage Support: Assist with warehouse and storage projects, including layout and space maximisation. Stock Management: Ensure stock accuracy and investigate any discrepancies or anomalies. Perform regular physical stock checks as required. Material Receiving: Accurately receive all materials into the stores area and manage the goods receipt process on the MRP system. Ensure that Batch/Lot/Serial Numbers are recorded for all deliveries. Picking & Issuing: Responsible for the timely picking and issuing of materials to the manufacturing department according to daily picking schedules. Warehouse Management: Keep the stores area organised and perform daily/weekly housekeeping tasks. Collaboration: Work closely with purchasing, manufacturing, and planning teams to resolve queries and ensure smooth operations. Loading & Unloading: Safely load and unload materials from containers, lorries, and vans using appropriate equipment, following all instructions. Documentation: Complete all paperwork in line with company procedures. Essential Skills & Experience: Experience in Stores/Stock Management: Proven experience using Stock Management Systems. Experience in materials handling is desirable. ERP/MRP Systems: Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems and Excel spreadsheets. Production-Focused: Positive, energetic, and disciplined approach to materials movement and stock transactions. Warehouse Knowledge: Strong understanding of warehouse principles, lean practices, and stock control. Salary & Benefits: Competitive Salary: £25,000 - £30,000, plus overtime opportunities.
