DESCRIPTION
The WW Process Capacity Engineer works cross-functionally and is responsible for a variety of topics related to mechanical capacity statement and governance in the Process Engineering domain. The role's scope spans across different planning horizons, from short to long term, and collaborates closely with stakeholders across multiple business functions: Engineering, Operations, Launch & Expansion, Design, and Planning.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Own the program management of WW Process Capacity products and help plan and deliver these products in collaboration with the Process and Project engineers.
2. Own analytics, drive insights & optimization for all planning cycles (3 Year Plan, Operational Plans (OP1/OP2), R&Os, and Peak/Prime Day Plans).
3. Standardize, automate, centralize, and scale the management of our reporting capabilities with the creation and maintenance of a central engineering database.
4. Analyze and make design recommendations for stations' mechanical capacity to meet customer demand for a particular country/region.
5. Lead dedicated programs to benchmark speed and capacity opportunities in the region.
6. Support reporting cycles for Process Engineering/Capacity as well as High Volume Events in partnership with Peak Captains and Ops leaders.
7. Capacity program management and analytics (e.g. define best station design configuration to align with customer demand profile).
8. Support team members with data collection and analytical insights as part of network-wide process improvement projects.
9. Provide actionable insights from strong analysis of large amounts of data.
10. Run programs that need a good mix of process understanding/technical background, program management skills, and data analytics skills.
11. Apply best practices from and share best practices with WW counterparts.
The role is based in London.
A Day in the Life
Your day could include engagement with all levels of the organization and multiple stakeholder groups to drive short, mid, and long-term decisions that have an impact on a large scale across the AMZL network. You would also be working with partners from Operations Leaders, Long Term Planning, Peak Captains, Delivery Station Design, and run station/network level capacity related analysis to build AMZL Delivery Stations of the future. You will put in place mechanisms to track project success, measure KPIs, and build reports to provide visibility to senior leaders across the organization.
About the Team
The AMZL WW Process Engineering team partners closely with AMZL Operations and support functions to identify, design, and develop best-in-class process infrastructure and process layouts, and to deliver them as AMZL network standard infrastructure. To enable this, the team supports prioritization of regional and WW continuous improvement initiatives in addition to cross-regional benchmarking. Irrespective of home location, all team members work on a mix of regional and WW initiatives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
* Experience in a planning or analytical role, ideally in an industrial, logistics, or production/manufacturing environment.
* Experience in building and innovating processes.
* Proven Project Management experience.
* High level of written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* MBA, MSc, or MEng (Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent).
* Advanced data analysis skills and expertise in using supporting tools e.g. Python, MS Excel, SQL.
* Experience building and maintaining cloud-based databases.
* Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with business partners and key stakeholders and the ability to work under pressure in a cross-functional organization.
