As our company grows, we are expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Stores & Workshop Assistant to join our Environment & Safety Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are looking for a motivated, dependable, and committed Stores & Workshop Assistant to join our team. It is key that you can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team, supporting the Water Consultancy & Equipment team.
You will assist the stores and workshop teams with booking deliveries, picking parts, and manufacturing water treatment products.
Your tasks will include (but are not limited to):
* Booking in deliveries against purchase orders, checking for damage or shortages, and liaising with suppliers on delivery issues
* Raising pick lists against sales orders and picking
* Raising purchase orders for items short on pick lists or sales orders
* Progressing outstanding purchase orders
* Supporting the workshop team with manufacturing water treatment products
* Carrying out repairs and servicing of service exchange equipment
* Supporting the site-based Service Team during site visits, servicing, and remedial works
To succeed, you should demonstrate:
* Experience in stores and manufacturing (desirable)
* UK driving license
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Microsoft Office skills
About Water Consultancy & Equipment
Our Water Consultancy team provides services such as statutory water hygiene tasks, chemical and microbiological analysis of systems like cooling towers, domestic water systems, and closed circuits. Our Water Equipment Engineers manufacture equipment in-house supported by CAD schematics / Revit files. We supply clients with reverse osmosis units, water softeners, and filtration services. SOCOTEC UK is BIM level 2 compliant in this area.
